Review: HTC Desire 816

HTC Desire 816 is the newest entrant in the HTC family and looks to be a brilliant device. It supports dual sim with one GSM alongside with a CDMA network.
The device gives a tough competitor to the likes of Nexus 5, Moto X and Sony Xperia T2 with something extra. It is the prettiest looking device in HTC family yet.

Specifications

The device sports a Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.6 GHz with Adreno 305 GPU.The internal memory of the device is 8GB with 1.5GB RAM supporting micro SD card. The camera optics have improved a lot and we get impressive results with 13MP front facing camera and 5MP front facing camera the good thing here is both the camera are capable of full 1080p HD recording. The screen size of the device is 5.5 inch super LCD 2 with 1280 x 720 p resolution with 267 ppi.On paper this may look inadequate but it’s nothing what it looks like and the display on the device is amazing and won’t disappoint you.
It Comes with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box with HTC sense 6.0 offering various new features. The playback on the device is superb and there is absolutely zero lag and with the movies with high bit rate also get played smoothly on the device which other handsets in the same price range fail to do. The Boom sound speakers contribute to the quality of music and enhance the music experience.

Camera
The camera on the device is very impressive with excellent video capture and brilliant colour reproduction and the video is smooth and jitter free and both the camera are capable of capturing 1080p videos. The camera is very fast in focusing and click the pictures quickly although in extremely light conditions the flash may not hold upto the mark but for everything else it gives out good pictures.

Final Verdict
The HTC desire 816 is one of the best looking phones in the market today and the most powerful device specification wise and the camera and display on the device is phenomenal and offers the most satisfying experience.
