Complete solutions to Sony Xperia C Problems

I have see many post on facebook and various blogs about users complaining about various issues they are facing in Xperia C. 
So here is the chance to clear all your queries and problems.

    Bro my proximity sensor is having a problem while making calls....so I wanna disable it...is there any solution to disable it???

      No ,you cant disable the proximity sensor.But you can check for screen cover or scratch above sensor that might have been causing the problem for you.
      And do check if your device is updated to latest firmware because Sony has fixed the proximity sensor issue in the last update.
      Do try this and follow up if you face any other problems.

      Firstly , Xperia c has an option to choose preffered install location. So you can install games directly from play store to SD card. Xperia C is capable of playing games like DeadTrigger, Asphalt 7, Modern Combat 4 and Gang star Vegas. and if you are unable to install games from playstore then download the .apk file place it in SD card and install it directly and the games will 100% work.
      Do try this and follow up if you face any other problems.

      This may be due to some uncompleted task or update which have made the device corrupted. So backup your data and do a factory reset and then upgrade to latest firmware and the problem will be solved.
      Do try this and follow up if you face any other problems.

      This problem is maybe due to manufacture defect and device is having hardware issues .So best solution is to take it to Sony service center.

      I think don't use hidden option in your album....and don't use more than one "xperia home" in your phone ....third soluton is that....reset your phone factory and with backup formate your SD card....

      Yes , you can update your device it may be just a small update for minor bug fixing. So its not going to harm your device in any way and can be installed.

      This is problem is existing in xperia devices. I have mailed Sony regarding this issue and they have given confirmation that it will be resolved in the next update. So for now we can only wait for the next update.

      Change your settings from menu...
      Go to settings>Xperia>Usb connectivity>Usb connection mode>media tranfer mode(MTP).
      Try this.. hope it works now

      Reset factory data and then Upgrade the firmware to latest version and if the problem exists then take it to service center that may be caused due to some hardware issues.

      Error 919 occurs when your Google Play Store cache has been full. To fix that, either you clear it or reset your Google Play Store.

      Here are the procedures how will you fix that.

      1. Go to settings
      2. Apps
      3. All and clear the cache
      4. Clear data for google play store
      5. Go to settings
      6. Accounts and sync
      7. Remove all the synced accounts
      8. Open google play and register your id again

    Problems with apps installed on sdcard....
    Some apps doesn't show their widgets.....
    Some apps like nova launcher and SwiftKey don't remain default, have to select them again as default....
    Many other apps also creating these type of errors.... to solve the error... Either i have to move it to internal storage or make it system app.....
    Is it due to bad permissions?

      Yes it may be due to bad permissions.You try formatting your SD card and re-instal the apps and if this doesn't work then move the apps to internal storage and even if it have some issues then factory reset your device.This will solve your problem.

    Hey guys so I got my Xperia C a month ago and I bought an SD Card, 8gb. I downloaded a few apps and then moved it into the SD card. It has a lot of space left.     Hi. My Xperia C screen went blank after a call yesterday. I have pushed the reset button (at the back of the phone) several times. I have also pressed the power button + volume up key simultaneously but the screen is still blank. The LED notification light is still blinking and I am still getting calls and messages but I can't pick the calls or read my messages.

    Please what can I do?

    Unfortunately, Xperia home has stopped.
    Unfortunately, all apps has stopped.

    I had tried everything that was suggested by friends or many XPERIA users,
    Like :-

    1. Clear soft data and clear cache from settings..
    2. I had safe mode, Soft reset, Factory reset, Hard reset, Reboot system now.
    3. Installing 3rd party app checked by Sony Diagnostic.
    But can't solve my problem!!

    Hi bro, my C3's intermittently failing to receive sms, also I have to send my sms twice to make sure that the person i'd sms would receive them. iPhone users would say that they receive blank sms from me, especially when I include preinstalled emoticons to the text..     Hy brow, i have trouble on my xperia c, i can't download anything on my default browser, opera mini, uc browser, blackmart and many more.. But i can browsing with full speed up to 400 - 500 kbps on all my browsers when i use mobile network. The download will run when connected on wifi only.       You may try to clear cache and uninstall updates. Try this ff:

      1. Go to settings storage/apps
      2. Find the Google play and open
      3. Select clear cache and uninstall updates
      4. If your internal storage does not reach 100 mb free, then you have to clear cache some apps.
      5.After try to re-open Google play and install any app.


      It will free some space in your internal storage. I use this method everytime I ran out of memory.

    Hi I hav got 1 issue .. What happened is it turned off just today and I turned it on but its not. When i charged it the red LED light kepts on blinking and when Im trying to open it, its not working it just shows the sony screen logo and it kept on restarting while its plugged to the wall charger.     i forgot my screen lock pattern on my xperia c (c2305), when i clicked on "forgot pattern?" i was asked to give my account username and password, but wifi is off!! [IS THERE any other way i can switch on wifi??]and moreover i cant connect my phone to pc because i had already chosen the option of "usb charge only", so there is no way i can flash the phone from pc. Now if i press the reset button at the back of the phone, will it delete everything? OR, if i press power key+ vol up, will the option of wiping cache partition solove my problem?
