Sony to abandon Xperia C


Sony Xperia C is in dark for a lot of time now and Sony continues to ignore the device. Sony Xperia C is only mediate device in the Xperia line up and after Android version 4.2.2 there has been no great update for the device.

The problem with the Mediatek devices is that they don’t release the source code of the processor and which makes difficult for the company to upgrade and customize the OS and also blocking the users for using a custom ROM on the device. The bootloader in Xperia C is locked and it’s not easy to break in on the device.

The performance of the Mediatek devices area quite average and they block the future updates which is the biggest disadvantage when compared to Qualcomm. The only advantage of the chipset is they come at low price.
If Sony decides to go ahead with abandoning Sony Xperia C that that might just be a cheap sell for the company.

      No official announcement from Sony about future update for Xperia C.We have to wait and hope that Sony doesn't abandon xperia C users.

      I told you...wait till end of July Xperia C will get the Android Update.

    Thanks a lot Sir..I have an another phone I.e xperia m2.. It's speaker seems to crack at full volume..so could u plz let me know what really the issue is?? And can it be fixed in the coming kitkat update that Sony is gonna provide.. Again thanks a Lott.. :)

      Check the equalizer settings on Xperia M2 and reset it to default and if the problem still exists them wait for the next update Sony will fix the Volume problem in your device.

    Kitkat update for xperia m2 is gonna come in July that's for sure but could u plzz tell me if not exact, then atleast the approximate date of release of the much awaited android 4.4.2???
