Google I/O 2014: 5 Big Announcements for this year

Google’s annual developer meet enters its 7th year and looks promising than ever before and Google is all set make 5 major announcements this year. Here is the list of top 5 announcements that will be at Google I/O 2014.




1.      Android Wear


Now with every company launching their version of Android watches and now even google is all set to launch Android Wear OS. Moto 360 is the first watch to be running on Android Wear OS.Some of the features of the device is turn by turn navigation, Voice control, notifications and alerts.

2.      Google Glass



The future of the Google Glass is also expected to be addressed. The Glass has been making very good improvements and various features has been added to the glass with new frames, applications and soft wares. But it’s high time now that google takes the glass out of the testing phase and go on for full sales and retail.

3.      Android Home


Google wants to take care of your home as well. Android @Home will surely come up new announcements in coming weeks. And after Google acquisition of Nest and also new features will be added with the help of Dropcam which is an essential security firm.

4.      Android Car


Google is all set to take over your car as well. Android will further explore into Open Automotive Alliance. Also in this I/O this year GM, Honda and Audi are best expected to showcase their cars fitted with Android car. This is going to work on the same principle as of Apples Car play in which users can control the dashboard from phone.

5.      Android 5.0



Android Kitkat is been a year old now and it’s high time now that Google announces the next version of the Android. There is no official announcement that the next version will be announced in the conference but if the rumors and leaks is to be believed then the signs are strong that we might see an UI that merges Google's web apps and Android apps at one place.

After the huge success of Nexus 5, Google is all set to launch Nexus 6 this year with amazing features, specifications, brilliant camera and superior OS. The market is loaded with stiff competition from other devices and this time nexus 6 has to give something out of the box to be successful in the market.




Features of Nexus 6:

The Nexus 6 is going to be huge with the display of five and a half to six inches and will be resistant to falls and will have unbreakable display. The back will have self-healing cover which is resistant to impact and durable. The device will also be water and dust proof.

New and Superior OS:


Nexus series always gets a new OS with its release and the trend will continue even for Nexus 6 and it will be released with new and superior OS from the Google. This is the main reason that makes Nexus series better than the previous devices.

Most advanced Camera:


The camera on Nexus 6 is going to be exceptional and will sport a dual-tone flash, consisting of cold and warm which will be differentiated by colours at the back of device. The camera will also include phase detection. Auto focus will be fast and accurate because of laser technology used in the detection.

Nexus 6 has a curved display which makes the device looks beautiful and sophisticated. The edges of the device are smooth finished with a chrome touch.

Exact specifications are still not out or the device but the rumors are wandering around that it may come with

Final verdict

We will have to wait for the official announcement from Google about the device but more or less these are various features and specifications we can expect from the device and the device may be launched by the end of 2014.

Amazon to launch their first 3D Smartphone today

Amazon is all set launch their first smartphone today and the highlight of the device is that it showcases 3D pictures without glasses. The 3D display is smartly places in the device and will enhance the users experience while shopping online at Amazon and will give them real time experience.



The device will let users rotate products before you make any purchase and in addition to this it will also sport gesture controls making it easy to operate the device without touching it.Only little is known about the specification of the device and the OS that it will support but the news out for now is that it will feature a 4.7-inch display with 720p resolutions with 2GB RAM on Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor.
  
This is will a new attempt by Amazon to break in to Mobile industry with its own brand and given the features and specifications on the device the mobile looks promising for the brand.

BlackBerry to launch Z3 in India

Once upon the leading mobile phone seller for emails and business purpose, BlackBerry has lost its ground in the world market and the sales have declined to very low level and so much that they even considered to existing the business few months earlier.



However, BlackBerry Z3 has done a good amount of sales in Indonesian market and according to the rumours the company can launch the same handset in Indian market which is believed to be priced around Rs.11, 125 in India. At present these are all rumours and a very little information is available on the availability of the device in India and will about the price that may increase will all the taxes till it reach the customer hands. But we can expect an announcement from the company very soon.


The device runs on BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS with touch display of 5-inch qHD LCD with a resolution of 540x960pixels.It sports a Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon chipset featuring a dual-core 1.2GHz Krait 200 processor, 1.5GB Ram and Adreno 305 GPU.The rear camera on the device is 5MP and a 1.1MP front facing camera which is all supported by a 2500mAh battery.

HTC E8 One Officially Launched


HTC E8 is a cheaper version of HTC M8 and is of almost half the price of the parent device and is completely made of plastic but looks beautiful.



The device has an elegant design which makes it rightly fit into the hands and sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The HTC E8 will be very similar to M8 in terms of specifications but the camera on this device will be slower than M8 but it sports some of the exciting features like HTC Boom Sound, Motion Launch, Snapdragon 801 and 5-inch Full HD 1080p screen with micro SD card expansion.


The device will be available in four colours like Maldives Blue, Misty Gray, Electric Crimson, and Polar White. The price is uncertain and has not been announced yet but it is rumoured to be around Rs.27, 000 and the device will be a bit taller than its parent counterpart.
